Elegant practicality is established. The artists' colony Worpswede was found in 1889 in the village near Bremen. Artists and painters prepared the way from prevailing Expressionism to the Bauhaus era. The artistic group of the early generation around Paula Modersohn-Becker, Bernhard Hoetger and Heinrich Vogeler gave distinction to decades.
Shaped by the spirit of the break-up Manfred Schick Merging designed a fusion of traditional manufactures without ornament with highest handiness, the cutlery model 1071, named after the artist group Worpswede. A modern inspiration, which until today has lost none of its validity, groundbreaking functional with Fürstenberg Wagenfeld weiss.
For decades now we have devoted our efforts to manufacturing tableware. During this period we have continuously refined the details of elegant knives, forks, spoons and their many relatives. \We are passing this knowledge along to you in our collection - embodying the best in design and unsurpassed quality.
