walks on the beach was what inspired Carsten Gollnick to design his new table top collection called Seawalk. The Berlin designer created a series of serving platforms for the Solingen cutlery factory Carl Mertens, whose design is reminiscent of structures created by waves and sand. Whether you are serving amuse-bouche, finger foods or your favourite dessert creation: These elegant Seawalk plateaus allow you to serve and present your elaborate delicacies in a modern way.Seawalk is not your ordinary, run-of-the-mill serving platter, but a series of complex ""serving platforms"" that allow you to present your carefully prepared foods in the proper way. The series is available with four basic wooden trays of different sizes which hold serving surfaces that are arranged and designed in various different ways. This creates a ""modular system"" for the host that allows her to serve simple or sophisticated dishes in the way that is most appropriate for them.As all other sets of cutlery made by Mertens, every detail of the Seawalk is made by hand in Germany at the company's location.
