The classical pearl design is one of the oldest used by Koch & Bergfeld , with its simple, elegant form remaining virtually unchanged since 1867. Yet this does not mean that the silverware workshop holds the monopoly on this type of design. What is so particularly special about this pattern is the detailing: strings of pearls on the front and back. The pearls are cleanly worked in the handle up to the inner bowl, the front of the spoon – this creates the slender lines of this cutlery .
