It was the well-known designer Hugo Leven – head of Hanau's State Academy of Drawing – who created a cutlery pattern in the "new" style for Koch & Bergfeld around 1900. The lateral stems of the plant, which are worked freehand by the steel engraver, come together at the base to form a flower and give this silverware a stylish timeless character which is quite unique – a floral delight for every day of the week.
