The model "Neufaden" is a successful adaptation of the historic classical pattern "Altfaden" or "Augsburger Faden". Prompted by the demands of modern, elegant home styling, this pattern has itself become a design classic over the years. It was created some time ago, in 1915, and bears the mark of its designer, Gustav Elsaß.
"Neufaden" from Koch & Bergfeld is characterised by its filigree form and large areas of gleaming silver. This model looks perfect alongside glasses and chinaware of many different styles – yet never loses its own character. metal with a silver plating in Germany. The silver is applied with a galvanic bath and is indicated in Germany usually in gramme for 12 forks and spoons, assumed with 24dm². In other countries such information predominantly is renounced. The surface is free of nickel. The Silver plating from Koch & Bergfeld corresponds to a thickness from 60 µm.
